BLUE SKULL
Originally created as a commissioned piece, Blue took on a deeper personal significance when the commission fell through. Unlike most of my work, which is driven by quick, instinctive bursts of energy, this piece demanded time and patience—pushing me to engage with my process in a new way.
In an age where AI and technology increasingly distort our perception of reality, I wanted to explore that disruption visually. The skull became a central symbol, representing both the fragility of reality and its gradual disintegration. My aim was to embed this sense of distortion within the composition—blending chaos with structure to reflect the tension between the organic and the artificial.
Photographing Blue outdoors was an intentional decision, heightening the contrast between the raw, fluid shapes of nature and the fragmented reality within the artwork. This piece is more than a lost commission; it is a meditation on the shifting boundaries of perception in the digital age.
