editorial prints
From a young age, around 15, I began collecting fashion and photography magazines, and editorial fashion photography quickly became a profound influence on both my personal style and my artistic practice. The dynamic interplay between fashion, image, and storytelling in these magazines shaped my visual sensibility and sparked an ongoing fascination with the aesthetics of contemporary culture.
A significant reference for this series is Andy Warhol, particularly his iconic screen print series. Warhol's exploration of mass production and the repetition of bold, graphic imagery resonated deeply with me, and I sought to channel that same energy and simplicity into my own work. His ability to elevate everyday subjects to the status of art, while experimenting with color and form, directly inspired my approach.
The central aim of this series was to create a striking visual impact through a limited yet bold color palette. By focusing on a more restrained range of hues, I allowed the power of the imagery to take center stage. The simplicity of the colors contrasts with the intensity of the images, creating a balance that directs attention while evoking a sense of both familiarity and abstraction. This focus on imagery and its presentation draws from my love of fashion and photography, allowing me to explore how color, form, and subject matter work together to tell a story.
